The XV Tourism Business Meetings most important that will be held in Lima, Cusco, Valle Sagrado (Sacred Valley) and Machu Picchu.
The National Chamber of Tourism (La Cámara Nacional de Turismo) CANATUR with the sponsorship of the Perú Export and Tourism Promotion Board (La Comisión de Promoción del Perú para la Exportación y Turismo) PROMPERU, are organizing the XV edition of the most important yearly event of tourism promotion in Peru, the PERU TRAVEL MART, where Peruvian promoters will meet buyers from all over the world. This event will be held from April 23 to 27 in Lima, Cusco , Valle Sagrado (Sacred Valley) and Machu Picchu , as a way to recognize this wonderful place as one of the Seven Wonders of the modern world.
The aim is to welcome 200 foreign tour operators that do not sell Peru as a tourist destiny and also representatives of the specialized press to show them the strengths of Peru, in this way, our country would be promoted and considered as the next destiny for the future tourists.
This event will start at night with a city tour by the ancient and modern Lima. The next day there will be a workshop and the business meetings where foreign participants will have the opportunity to contact with national operators. The third day the guests are going to visit the
Valle Sagrado of the Incas (Sacred Valley of the Incas) , an hour from Cusco , Pisac , and Ollantaytambo to finally get to the enigmatic city of Machu Picchu , the most important and beautiful legacy of ancient Peruvians, considered as one of the most wonderful architectural sample of the world. During the stay in Cusco, the Peru Travel Mart's guests will visit the Inca buildings, as
Koricancha and Inca Roca Palace, and Andean baroque style colonial buildings too as the Cathedral and the Company Church; besides San Blas neighbourhood, the giant walls of Sacsayhuamán Fortress and the archeological sites of Qenko, Pukapukara and Tambomachay, totally built in stones.
This is the way the organizer team hopes to contribute one more time to increase the tourism in Perú, becoming our country in one of the most visited worldwide tourist destinies.
